Legacy Pharma provides assistance and insight into the management of contemporary issues such as the formulation of SLES-free, PEG-free, paraben-free and petrolatum-free products as well as the use of natural materials formulation of your product. In particular Legacy Pharma offers expert advice on African herbal medicines and essential oils.
Scope of manufacturing
Legacy Pharma also offers niche contract manufacturing and private label opportunities. The company has built up considerable experience, particularly in the field of complimentary medicines, cosmetics and standard pharmaceutical semi-solid preparations.
We do not offer contract manufacturing of opthalmic, injectable, film coated or penicillin based products; however work closely with our pre-qualified GMP sister companies for importation and registration of such products which can be made available on request.
Manufacturing capabilities include the manufacture of creams, gels and ointments, tinctures, liquids and nutraceutical powders.
Packaging capabilities within our GMP facility includes cream, ointment and liquid filling of various containers; including bulk re-packaging of powders and complementary medicine ingredients.
All processes are supervised by industrial pharmacists with many years of experience, as well as other qualified professional staff who have been trained in the pharmaceutical industry.
Product development
Tablet press manufacturing of DC grade formulations – vitamins and non-penicillin essential medicines – will start in early 2018; thereafter capsule filling and complete packaging solutions will be developed for GMP certification.Contract Manufacturing
Our current production focuses on semi-solid pharmaceuticals and cosmetic products that includes creams, ointments, and syrups. We offer also offer premium quality private label packaging and product formulation.
Other services
Bulk import of APIs and nutriceutical/herbal extract powders and repackaging into smaller units for compounding pharmacies and manufacturers within the SADC region.
